Installation
Installation procedures are a determining factor for the performance of the waterproof
covering. Membranes should be installed using a propane gas torch. The substrate must
first be carefully cleaned and then treated with a primer.
Adjacent panels should be laid offset and particular care must be taken when joining
them. Joints between panels should allow an overlap of about 8 cm for lateral joints and
12 15 cm for head joints.
In order to obtain correct, detailed information or to determine the most appropriate
solution for each specific case we would advise you to consult our technical publication
"Waterproofing membranes: General guidelines for installation"
(Quaderno 7).The Technical Service Department at Imper Italia S.p.A. is in event willing
to study specific solutions, apart from providing all the necessary for making the best
possible use of these materials.

PARALON NT4 PLUS

Product description
Prefabricated membrane for waterproofing systems requiring very high mechanical
resistence, considerable ulti-mate elongation, puncture and perforation resistance.
PARALON NT4 PLUS is produced by co-extrusion of the Paralloy compound a selected
molecular weight metallocenic resin dispersed in bitumen and a continuous polyester
thread, non-woven textile reinforcing. PARALON NT4 PLUS has been awarded the ICITE
Technical Suitability Certification in addition to agrments and certificates issued by
UEAtc and other international organi-sations: CSTB (France), BBA (United Kingdom),
UBAtc (Belgium), IAB (Ireland), BDA KOMO (Netherlands), BRANZ (New Zealand), JIS
(Japan), EMI (Hungary), ATM (Moldavia), INCERC (Rumania), ZUS (Czech Republic).

The Pluses
Low temperature flexibility. Refers to the product's ability to retain ites elasticity at low
temperatures: -20 C for PARALON NT4
PLUS .
Ageing resistance. The capability to maintain its original performance over time. It refers
to the low temperature flexibility value after accelerated ageing in a ventilated oven at 70 C
for 180 days: -15 C for PARALON NT4
PLUS .
High temperature dimensional stability.A parameter expressed as the temperature up
to wich the product maintains its texture and shape, without starting to slip or drip: 140 C
for PARALON NT4
PLUS .
Ultimate elongation for the compound. This is a general quality indicator that
expresses the compound's tenacity and its ability to accompany any movement of the
substrate:
400% for the Paralloy compound.
Branding. PARALON NT4 PLUS is personalised. The brand name PARALON NT4 is dry-
stamped on the talcked surface.

Fields of use
PARALON NT4 PLUS is recommended for high performance waterproofing systems and
also ideal for single-layer applications for:
- all types of roofing
- foundations and underground structures including earthquake risk areas
- "reversed" roofs, with heavy protection againts water penetration
- roof gardens, terraces parking areas
- earthwork and cls basins, canals, hydraulic works
- road and railway beds (bridges, viaducts, flyovers, etc.)
- walls in manmade tunnels
- demanding jobs where mechanical fastening or nailing is required
